Dr. Man Ying (Maggie) Pun joins San Diego Prosthodontics from Los Angeles where she served US veterans for the last 9 years. Dr. Pun started by providing dental services to the most vulnerable veterans groups at the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the homeless program. Dr. Pun then transferred to the Los Angeles Downtown Veterans Affairs Medical Center over the last 6 years where she served as a prosthodontist and as a clinical instructor for the University of Southern California Dental School. Today, Dr. Pun eagerly joins the San Diego community where she looks forward to delivering the most comprehensive and cutting-edge prosthodontic dentistry.
Dr. Pun originally grew up in Maryland and attended college at the University of Maryland, College Park. She began her dental training at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry which is notable for being the first dental school in the United States. After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2004, she completed a General Practice Residency at the Loma Linda Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2005, a 3-year Advanced Prosthodontics Residency at the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2013, and worked in private practice.
Today, Dr. Pun is excited to work in private practice again to provide personalized and compassionate care to her patients. Dr. Pun’s priorities are to work together with her patients as a team to customize the best prosthodontic treatment plan. She is skilled in esthetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, implant dentistry, crowns and bridges, and implant and traditional dentures.
Dr. Pun is a Board Certified Prosthodontist by the American Board of Prosthodontics and a diplomat of the Board. She is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics. Dr. Pun is excited to enjoy the San Diego community where she loves playing tennis and pickleball as well as raising her two sons (Ethan and Evan) with her husband Alex who is an eye doctor in the community.
