What are the options to replace your missing teeth?
Part 1: Single Tooth Replacement

Implant Crown

A dental implant is another fixed option to replace a missing tooth. Dental implants are manufactured out of a medical grade titanium. They are bio-compatible, non-corrosive, and have high strength making them ideal for tooth replacement. Typically, the implant itself is placed and allowed to heal for 3-6 months. After the native jaw bone has healed and integrated with the implant, the replacement tooth can be fabricated and fit to the body of the implant. Just as with a fixed bridge, an implant crown can be fabricated out of a number of materials depending on the location and the nature of the occlusion or bite. They can be made out of a gold alloy, a combination of ceramic and gold alloy, all ceramic and even zirconium.
