Dentures--Complete & Partial Dentures

Many patients have lost some or all of their natural teeth due to tooth decay, gum [periodontal] disease or trauma. A complete denture is a prosthesis designed to replace all of a patient’s missing teeth. Dentures are supported by the remaining jaw bone and gum tissues. For some patients, this becomes difficult to tolerate, and in those cases we will employ dental implants to assist in the support, stability and retention of the complete denture.
Many patients have lost some but not all of their natural teeth. A partial denture is a custom prosthesis to replace those missing teeth, utilizing the remaining natural teeth for support and stability. Removable partial dentures can be fabricated out of acrylic resin or acrylic resin supported by a custom cast metal framework.
